Jacky Shue
Jacky Shue has been dancing all styles of Salsa in Perth since 2000. Jacky began learning Salsa with one of Perth’s most reputable and dedicated Salsa Schools and continued to study and dance Salsa for many years before joining Humphreys and adding Ballroom and Latin to her repertoire. Jacky never stopped enjoying and dancing Salsa and soon began to form a friendly group of regular Salsa dancers here at Humphreys. Our Salsa Classes are now very well established and we have been lucky enough to add higher levels and regular dedicated Salsa Evenings to our program. Jacky also teaches Social Ballroom & Latin and dances competitive Ballroom.
Amanda Metcalf
Amanda Metcalf is one of Perth’s most established and highly regarded Salsa Dance Teachers and we are very lucky to have Amanda join our Salsa Team at Humphreys to teach all our higher level Salsa Classes.
Amanda is a full time dance teacher and holds a bachelors degree in Music Education from the University of Western Australia.
Amanda been involved in dance since 1999 and has trained both locally and in the United States, Argentina and Cuba. She was formerly the co-principle instructor at Juan Rando Dance Academy in Perth Australia, and has just returned from Houston Texas where she was invited to teach for a year with Mario Robau and Stephanie Mcpherson Robau.
Her dance repertoire includes Argentine Tango, West Coast Swing, All Styles of Salsa, Brazilian Samba no Pe, Brazilian Zouk and Cha Cha.
Amanda is well loved for her friendly and energetic teaching style.
Her teaching philosophy focuses on developing sound dance technique, partner connection and the enjoyment of dance.
She has taught dance since 2001, and teaches all levels from beginner to instructor.
Amanda has choreographed performance routines for both individual couples and groups in West Coast Swing, Tango, Salsa and Samba.
Her choreographies have been presented at international and national dance events including the Dancing With The Stars (Australia), Canadian Swing Championships, the US Grand National Dance Championships, Sydney Salsa Congress, Australian Dance Festival, The Best of The Best West Coast Swing Congress and more.
