Vicki commenced dancing in 1976 and enjoyed a successful career over a period of twenty years before retiring from competition in 1996.
Vicki is a qualified examiner, an accredited Coach and Adjudicator and is a regular Adjudicator at local and National competitions.
As well as coaching competitive couples in New Vogue, Ballroom and Latin styles, Vicki is available for social beginner and bridal private lessons.

I first stepped onto the dance floor at age seven and haven’t stopped moving since. Trained across all three styles—Standard, Latin, and New Vogue—I’ve fallen most deeply in love with the elegance and precision of Standard.
Over the years, I’ve competed at both state and interstate levels across Australia, continually pushing myself to grow as a dancer and performer. My passion also took me abroad, spending five transformative months in London refining my ballroom technique under the guidance of some of the city’s most elite coaches.
I began teaching medal and technique classes as a teenager and still love sharing my knowledge through group classes today.
I am available for private lessons, bridal couples and groups, as well as coach–student competition partnerships.

Teacher – Salsa, Latin, West Coast Swing and Argentine Tango Amanda has been teaching dance professionally for over 20 years and has trained in Australia, the United States, Argentina, United Kingdom and Cuba.Originally from Perth,
Australia, she runs her own company Dance Amanda. She has previously taught and was co-principal at JRDA for 10 years, and trained and taught in Houston Texas during 2013.
Amanda is well loved for her friendly and energetic demeanour, and it’s very evident in her teaching style. Her philosophy for dance focuses on developing sound dance technique, partner connection and the enjoyment of dance.
Amanda particularly loves the styles of partner dances she teaches because they are great fun, provide an uplifting experience for all involved, social, and intricate.
Her dance repertoire includes Argentine Tango, West Coast Swing, Salsa, and Brazilian Samba no Pe. Availability for lessons is limited.

- Regularly making the finals and placing in graded events from 2009 to 2012 in State and National Championships.
I am available to coach competitive and social couples/individuals primarily on Tuesday evenings, however I am flexible with times and days. I am also happy to teach bridal couples in preparation for their first dance or those just wishing to learn a new skill.
I have a passion for dancing and also education. I am a qualified primary school teacher and during the days you will find me teaching Dance as a specialist teacher at a northern suburbs primary school. I thoroughly enjoy watching people develop and find success at any level, and I hope to continue teaching and dancing for many years to come.

Jacky also teaches and assists in social and medal group classes. Her bubbly personality, together with her relaxed and easy going teaching style makes her a popular social dance teacher. Jacky is available for social beginner, Salsa and bridal private lessons.

Founder and Co-Principal
Humphreys Dance Studio Growing up in East Fremantle, as a young teenager Len was focussed on Aussie Rules football and enjoyed a promising football career with the Under 16’s at the East Fremantle
Although Len attended school dances he felt he couldn’t dance like most of his friends. At age 13, and at the suggestion of his friends, he decided to take dance lessons at the Wrightsons Dance Studio in East Fremantle to learn social dancing only. It was during this time he was fortunate to witness an inspirational exhibition by Robert and Shelda Wrightson and it was then that he knew that this was what he wanted to do. He was introduced to Pamela (nee Strickland) and the rest, as they say, is history.
Len Humphreys & Pamela Humphreys-Martin competed for 24 years winning all Western Australian titles plus Australasian and South Pacific titles in Exhibition dancing. They opened the Humphreys Dance Studio in Victoria Park in 1967 and in 1977 they undertook a period of full time study in England.
Len has proven to be one of Australia’s most outstanding Dancesport coaches and mentors having trained multiple champions at all levels including Juvenile, Junior, Youth, Amateur and Professional over many years.
A Life Member of Dance Masters International Association (DMIA) Len was previously an Examiner with DMIA. He now also trains many students for the theory section of Accreditation exams.
Len is considered to be one of Australia’s most experienced and well respected Adjudicators having judged all major National Championships over many years. Amongst his many International Adjudicating appointments, Len was appointed to judge the World Professional Ballroom Championship in Germany.
In 2003 he was awarded the Medal of the Order of Australia in the Queen’s Birthday Honours List for services to dance and to the community.

Co-Principal
Humphreys Dance Studio Glen’s history as an international dance champion includes being twice British Champion (closed), twice West European Amateur Ballroom Champion and Undefeated
Australian, South Pacific and Australasian Professional Ballroom Champion. Glen has been described as one of the elite in the history of Australian dancing.
He is a recipient of an award from the Australian Dancing Board for Outstanding International Achievement and was named “Australian Professional Competitor of the Year”.
He is also the only Australian in history to have won the British Open Modern Sequence Championships at the famous Wintergardens Ballroom at Blackpool in England.
Following on from his retirement from competitive ballroom dancing he continued his success into the world of coaching and teaching. Glen has trained State, National and International Ballroom champions and as recognition for his achievements, was named “Australian Coach of the Year”.
Glen is accredited with Dancesport Australia as a Level 3 Coach and Adjudicator (Dancesport Australia’s highest level). He has judged both Amateur and Professional World Championships in Ballroom, Latin American and Ten Dance on 15 occasions including the World Professional Ballroom Championships Blackpool, England.
Glen is also a regular Adjudicator at local and National Championships within Australia and contributes to the administrative side of Dancesport by sitting on the International Affairs Commission within DanceSport Australia.
He regularly teaches and adjudicates in Asia and has conducted Dance Camps, lectured at Congress and trained National Squad members in many countries throughout Asia for over 30 years.
In addition to coaching and mentoring Dancesport competitors, Glen is available to conduct lectures and Professional Development for dancers and teaching staff. He is also a very accomplished social and medallist teacher

Co-Principal Humphreys Dance Schools Program At age 6, Debbie-Anne commenced her dancing career with the Marilyn Trembath Dance Academy studying Jazz, Ballet and Tap. Two years later, she followed in her parents
Turning Professional at 18, Debbie-Anne’s commitment to dance has always been at the highest level. Her career included competing, demonstrating, adjudicating and teaching nationally and internationally. After becoming an Australian Professional Rising Star Champion she retired from competition to focus on family and teaching.
Debbie-Anne is currently a Co-Principal of Humphreys Dance Studio and Co-Principal of the Humphreys Dance Schools Program. The Schools Program operates throughout the metropolitan and regional areas of Western Australia teaching on average 1000 students each week. This program also offers dance scholarships to promising students who wish to further their dancing knowledge.
Her highly successful Saturday Kids Classes offer general dancing and medal classes for children aged from 4 years to teens. Several former students from these classes currently enjoy successful dancing and teaching careers and are a testament to the quality of dance tuition offered in these classes.
An accomplished professional, Debbie-Anne enjoys teaching all ages be it a social dancer, medallist or bridal couple. She is competent in all styles and has a natural gift for choreography.

Todd was first introduced to dancing when Humphreys Dance Studio presented their school dance program to Lesmurdie High School back in the early 1980’s, and we are
fortunate that he is still with us to this day.
Todd studied for his degrees over several years and it has often been said that with his knowledge and experience he is one of the most accomplished teachers of Adult and Children Social and Medal level dancers in Australia.
A true Professional, Todd is most at home teaching large classes and medal exam candidates. Such is his depth of knowledge and versatility that whenever necessary he can also be relied upon to help coach graded competitors.
With his expertise and teaching style, not to mention his quick wit and sense of humour, lessons and classes with Todd are always loads of fun.

Jodie has been dancing for over 12 years and teaching for more than six. She first discovered her love of dance in high school before returning after an extended break
– an experience that shaped her passion for helping adults realise it’s never too late to start dancing.

Callum started dancing as part of the scholarship program through the Humphreys Dance Studio children’s classes. Since then, he extended his knowledge of dancing by completing his level 1 coaching accreditation in the Ballroom style and now teaches regularly at the studio, coaching social and competitive students.

Jacky began her dance career as a salsa dancer and has since moved into the world of social Latin & Ballroom with ease. Jacky is a valued member of our studio family and can been seen both teaching and assisting in our social and medal group classes
